GEOTHERMAL - Florida Heat pump is our top of the line Geothermal system.  We install them with a Horizontal Loop.  There is currently is a tax credit for Geothermal for 30% of the installed cost with no upper limit through 2016 for existing homes and new construction. Check the www.irs.gov website for specific qualifications.

Founded in 1969 FHP MANUFACTURING is the undisputed leader in the Water Source Heat Pump industry.  In an independent survey of 31 manufacturers, FHP received the highest ratings in overall product quality.  Their 100,000 sq. ft. plant is a state of the art facility located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the Home of the Water Source Heat Pumps.

FHP Geothermal Systems provide heating, cooling, dehumidification and can provide virtually free hot water when supplied with the optional heat recovery system.  FHP Geothermal Systems work by removing heat from your home and rejecting it into the earth or in the reverse cycle mode adsorbing the heat from the earth and supplying it back to the space.

 HEATING MODE:

In the heating mode, heat is extracted from the fluid in the earth loop or well water by the FHP heat pump and distributed to your home through the air ducts.  The air from your home is heated by the FHP unit with the energy absorbed from the earth and the compressor heat of the heat pump.  The fluid is constantly re-circulated through the heat pump so it can continue to absorb the needed heat from the earth.

 COOLING MODE:

The cooling mode works similarly to the heating mode except the process is reversed.  The heat pump absorbs the heat from your home and rejects it into the fluid that transfers it back into the earth.

HOW GEOTHERMAL PROVIDES HOT WATER

FHP’s Heat Recovery System employs a circulating pump that moves water from your hot water tank through a double wall vented heat exchanger and then returns the heated water to the tank.  As the water passes through the heat exchanger, it’s heated by superheated discharge refrigerant gas as it flows through the other side of the heat exchanger.  This heat transferred during cooling mode increases the capacity and efficiency of the heat pump.  However, during the heating mode, this heat being transferred to the water would normally be used for space heating.  During the heating mode the heat recovery system may be deactivated simply by the flip of a switch.

GEOTHERMAL BENEFITS

SAVINGS
Geothermal heat pumps can cut your heating and cooling costs by 50% to 60% and provide hot water.

SAFE, CLEAN, AND COMFORTABLE
No pilot lights, no flue vent, no carbon monoxide: with a constant even temperature and humidity control.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Helps reduce both outdoor noise and air pollution

DURABLE
Geothermal heat pumps last longer because they are housed and protected from harsh weather conditions.  No defrost cycles are needed like air-to-air heat pumps, which means less stress on critical components and no loss of operating efficiency.

Feel free to contact us or submit a request for a quote.  One of our technicians will come to your location to check out your specific needs.  You will then receive a quote with our recommendations to meet your geothermal needs.  Quote pricing is good for 30 days unless stated otherwise.  **Quotes are free within a 30 miles radius, beyond 30 miles, there may be a charge that can be deducted from your total sale price if you decide to purchase.
